the land is marginally flat, and cooler by an immense degree than its sister to the south. on the outskirts, the coastline consists of either immense sandy arenas, or sheer cliff faces riddled with perilous caves and deep cravasses. the sun falls at night to straddle the sea, and the waters extend to drown the horizon. the remainder of the continent is interspersed with vast plains, dark timberlands, lurid swamps, arid deserts, rough-hewn mountain stretches and open grasslands.
