OOC

• maintain a fairly clean lingo. cussing is allowed, but don't go overboard.
  
• if you have a valid reason to insult or confront another player, do it through private messages. nothing in the c-box or any chat board.
  
• do not clog up the boards with ooc. it doesn't matter what it concerns, it will likely be deleted. if you have a problem or concern, message the player with whom you have it.
  
• if you are leaving for an extended period of time, please either pm a staff member or post it on the bulletin board. otherwise all of your posts, bios, accounts, etc. will be deleted.
  
• i'd prefer it if you were at least an intermediate roleplayer; i don't want to spend my days teaching newbs how to roleplay.
  

IN CHARACTER

• no powerplaying or godmodding whatsoever.
  
• if there are any powers added in the near future, they will not be abused or overused.
  
• realistic horse colors are required. this does not apply to eyes. (ex. black horse with purple eyes)
  
• if you attack or ambush another player's character, you must have a reason for doing so. (ex. territory, mares, personal vendetta, etc.)
  
• any type of mare can be claimed by any type of stallion. (ex. dark stallion claiming light mare)
  
• mares can be claimed at any time, and must not provide too much of a problem for the stallion(s) looking to claim them.
  
• any and all claiming must occur through posting, not over messages.
  
• stallions are allowed to steal over stallions' mares.
  
• force breeding is allowed, but is considered highly impolite.
  
• fighting of any type - whether it be over mares, territory, etc. - will occur in the fighting grounds.
  
• breeding should occur in the homeland of the mare.
  
• the parents of the foal produced will determine the gender and name, and can either play the foal themselves or place its bio in the adoption board.
  
• the colors do not have to be realistic. (ex. a black paint and a bay holsteiner can produce a cremello foal)
  
• the length of one season is equal to one month real life time.
  

ACTIVITY

• you must post a minimum of once a week. if you have a valid reason for not doing so, you must let an administrator know.
  
• if a stallion lapses into inactivity, he will be given nine days before he is removed as the owner of all possesed territories, and his account will be deleted.
  
• activity checks will be staged every two months.
  
• if you are inactive for a week - have not logged in, and have not notified anyone as to why - your account and all threads by you will be deleted.
  

POSTS

• you must at least try on every post. i understand writer's block, but anyone can post a 150+ post with litte to no muse.
  
• every post must be over 150 words.
  
• roleplay slang is acceptable, but is not mandatory. we all have our unique styles.
  

JOINING

• you may have innumerable characters, but you must keep them all active. otherwise their bios will be moved to the archives and they will be considered inactive.
  
• personalities may vary according to horse. just remember to keep in mind their individual persona when embodying this character.
  
• all breeds are accepted. but please try and be original.
  
• once your bio is posted, you must wait until after an administrator accepts you to post anywhere on the site.
