SUMMARY «
a land treacherous, carpeted in a serene layer of ash. flame ravages the ramparts, and beyond lingers an intimidating line of equine bodies. cynical jeers posses their charcoal lips; some have no lips, merely a dusty plain of porcelain bone held aloft by sinewy necks. the terror they inspire has cast all but this select lot from the land, and now they are left to rule it.

the corrupt empire « the land mirrors its inhabitants. it is dark and dreary, devoid of color except for the deepest of monochromes. linear slopes give way to sheer drops, seemingly flat plains colliding suddenly with vast cliffs harboring treacherous valleys. swamps and the velvety mirrored surface of lakes intertwine with sections of misted, intimidating oak forests. the ill-informed wanderer could easily get lost and fail to return.

the demonic alliance « craggy peaks and strange, foreign rock varieties plague the barren landscape. three main volcanos ring around a single, flat-topped plateau enclosed on all sides by a river of active magma. forests of dead oak trees spanning across the border from the dark lands provide the only cover available on the west side of the territory. the lacspaar sea spans leagues across to the east, a few isles within swimming distance lining the horizon. they are lush with willows, cedars and the occasional pine.

the sole terrorists « the darkened land is carpeted with lush forestry, though its origin is unknown. much of the crevasses are lined with stringy vines and similarly stringy vermin, which makes various sections of streams and ponds unavailable for drinking. much of the terrain is mountainous, though soon gives way to cavernous valleys and sloping hillocks. pockets of sheltering caves linger along the southern border, where, in the summertime, crystalline waters from the delani` lake flow freely over the hooves of those willing to enter.
